Alev Burcin Aydin-Jensen was born in Belgium to Turkish parents, and raised in Ankara, Turkey. Prior to moving to Boston in 2017, she attended Northern Arizona University, graduating in 2011 with a BBA in Business Administration and Management. Alec received her Master’s in Human Resource Management from Northeastern University at the College of Professional Studies in 2021.
Before immigrating to the United States, Alev worked at the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations and later the U.S. Embassy in Ankara, Turkey. Since her move from Arizona, Alev has worked at the Massachusetts Immigrant and Refugee Advocacy Coalition (MIRA) and the New England Conservatory, taking roles that support human resources, immigration, and administration.
