Rana Al-Shami is the executive assistant for Usama Fayyad, inaugural executive director of EAI. She brings over 25 years of experience in operations, administration, and human resources.

Before joining EAI, Rana was the Executive Assistant & Operations Manager at Open-Insights. She also held several positions in Amman, Jordan, including executive assistant/training manager for the seed investment company Oasis500; executive assistant for the chief technical officer at the Airport International Group; and public relations manager for the Sheraton Al Nabil Hotel. She was also an office manager and procurement specialist for the Iraq Infrastructure Project at Bechtel International Systems, a lead engineering, construction, and project management company.
