Arzu Tuğçe Güler, a dedicated professional in the field of bioinformatics, joined the Institute for Experiential AI in July 2023. She has a multidisciplinary background in computer engineering, bioscience engineering, and bioinformatics. Tuğçe completed her undergraduate studies in computer engineering at TOBB Economy and Technology University (TOBB ETU) in Ankara, Turkey. During this time, she also gained valuable experience through internships of the universities co-op program.

Driven by her passion for bioinformatics, Tuğçe pursued a master’s degree in bioinformatics with a major in bioscience engineering at Katholieke Universiteit Leuven in Belgium, where she focused on computational analysis of genomic variations. She furthered her academic journey with a doctorate from the Center for Proteomics and Metabolomics at Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC) in the Netherlands, where she worked on automating mass spectrometry data analysis. She later worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Amsterdam University Medical Centers (Amsterdam UMC/AMC), with a focus on proteomics changes in Huntington’s Disease from 2018 to 2023. She commits to advancing scientific knowledge as a research scientist at the institute, where she will contribute her skills to AI applications in mass spectrometry-based metabolomics, proteomics, and multi-omics integration for biological systems research.
