Deniz Erdogmus

Deniz Erdogmus is the vice chair of research and a professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, with an affiliation in the Department of Bioengineering. His research focuses on statistical signal processing and machine learning through applications in data analysis, human-cyber-physical systems, sensor fusion, and intent inference for autonomy.
Erdogmus also serves as a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Signal Processing Society (IEEE-SPS) Machine Learning for Signal Processing Technical Committee, and as an associate editor of scientific journals, including IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing, Transactions on Neural Networks, Signal Processing Letters, and Elsevier Neurocomputing.
Before joining Northeastern in 2008, Erdogmus was a faculty member of the Department of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering and the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Oregon Health & Science University. He holds a doctorate in electrical and computing engineering from the University of Florida.
