Devesh Tiwari

Devesh Tiwari is an assistant professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and the director of the Goodwill Computing Lab. His group focuses on improving the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of high-performance computing and storage systems and, most recently, quantum computing systems.
Tiwari is an associate editor of Transactions of journals including Parallel & Distributed Computing, Transactions of Storage, and the Journal of Parallel & Distributed Computing. He has served as program co-chair and track co-chair of numerous conferences, including the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) Symposium on High-Performance Parallel and Distributed Computing (HPDC), the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) International Conference on Distributed Computing Systems, and the IEEE International Symposium on Workload Characterization. He also served on program committees for the IEEE Dependable Systems and Networks, International Symposium on High-Performance Computer Architecture, and the ACM HPDC.
Before joining Northeastern, Tiwari was a staff scientist at the US Department of Energy Oak Ridge National Laboratory. He earned his doctoral degree from North Carolina State University and his bachelor’s degree from the Indian Institutes of Technology
