Ningfang Mi is an associate professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and director of the Computer Systems Research Laboratory. Her research focuses on computing resource management and modeling, parallel data processing, simulation, workload analysis, and nonvolatile memory express storage devices.

Mi was a recipient of the 2014 National Science Foundation Faculty Early Career Development Program award, the 2015 Air Force Office of Scientific Research Young Investigator Research Program award, and the 2010 IBM Faculty Award. She received accolades for Best Paper from the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Cloud, the International Performance, Computing, and Communications Conference, as well as Middleware.

Mi holds a doctoral degree in computer science from the College of William and Mary, a master’s degree in computer science from the University of Texas at Dallas, and a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Nanjing University.
